Security & privacy
Your documents stay yours
AES-256 encryption
Your document text, email content, and sign-in tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are stored. Uploaded files are encrypted again before they reach our storage provider.
Document redaction
Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and card and bank account numbers are removed from your documents and never stored. Your name and address are kept only in encrypted form. Your original upload is replaced by a redacted copy.
Delete data anytime
Export or delete your account and all of your data from Settings whenever you like. Everything is permanently purged 30 days after your request, a grace period that lets you change your mind.
Even though Storno employs all practical measures to secure your data, including AI-enabled document redaction techniques, all users are advised to physically redact all sensitive, private, and personal information such as account numbers, Social Security Numbers, dates of birth, telephone numbers, and addresses prior to uploading a document.
